Bapujee College, Sarukshetri is a premier higher education institution in the eastern part of Barpeta District of Assam, India. The College was established in 1970 as a long-standing vision conceived by some of the eminent scholars and well-wishers of the locality with a commitment of achieving academic excellence and holistic development of the student community. The College is registered under Section 2(f) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act 1956 in December, 1991. The college fraternity is committed to quality enhancement, continuous institutional improvement and has made persistent effort to uphold excellence in teaching, learning and governance. In the process the college has successfully completed the second cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2016. Previously, the college was affiliated under Gauhati University and at present, the college is under Bhattadev University, Bajali.
The college has been offering undergraduate degree programs (Bachelor of Arts - BA) and higher secondary courses. Apart from that the college offers certain self-sustained skill based certificate courses aligned with rapidly evolving, technology-driven job market. Besides, the college has a study centre of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU)
