Bapujee College, Sarukshetri was established in 1970 with only a handful of students, limited faculty, little property, but a determined mission of imparting quality education and keeping cultural heritage intact. The college, which came into being under the collective efforts and noble initiative of the people of Sarukshetri, has since developed into a premier institution of this region, and completes 51 years of its glorious existence this year.
Bapujee College aims for continual growth in the quality of all academic activities with a sense of commitment to fully meet the expectations of the students, parents and society at large. We believe in offering an intellectual and cultural environment conducive to the development of cognitive and affective domains of our students, and in creating the right conditions for growth for each and every student so that they acquire the right set of skills to adapt themselves to the competitive world.
In addition to the Bachelor of Arts, the College boasts of U.G. courses under K.K. Handique open distant learning and diploma course in cutting and tailoring. From the previous academic year the College has introduced a UGC sponsored Vocational Diploma course in Computer Application, in addition to having an open-access computer lab which students can use for academic purposes.Under the UGCs National Skill Qualification Framework (NSFQ), we have also introduced a one-year diploma course in Foundation of IT and Web Design. The introduction of NCC is already much in progress and will hopefully be launched in the coming year. We are also proud to announce that the Bachelor of Science course shall soon be introduced in the college.
